Alder Pine Cone

The Alnus Pine, native to North America, is imbued with magic in the folklore of both Americas and mythology of Europe.

It is said that fairies dyed their clothing with Alnus catkins to make themselves invisible to human eyes.

This mysterious, majestic tree produces beautiful, miniature pine cones (sometimes called berries) that you can now carry with you anywhere. Perhaps a few curious fairies will follow you along your woodland walks.

I handcrafted this piece from beginning to end from jeweler's grade resin. My creation process includes scouring Southern California for hidden natural beauties and carefully mixing, designing, casting, sanding, and polishing each piece.
